Rare volume of autographs bringing together signatures, phrases and original drawings by artists, actors, singers and cartoonists of the Belle Époque and the "Années folles". Among the names present are Edmée Favart, Ève Lavallière, Maurice Rostand, Rip and other protagonists of Parisian cultural life. Many pages feature small portraits or caricatures done in their own hand, transforming the collection into a true intimate portrait of the artistic circles of the time.

The book belonged to the family of Italian descendants connected to a former butler of the Matarazzo family, the celebrated industrial clan that dominated the economic and social life of São Paulo during the first half of the 20th century. This origin adds a unique dimension to the copy: it not only brings together autographs of prominent figures in theater and literature, but also fits into the trajectory of one of the most influential families in Brazilian history, a symbol of the rise of Italian immigrants and their integration into the São Paulo elite.

In the notebook, all dedications that mentioned the recipient had the name portion cut out. This leads one to believe that an owner or heir voluntarily removed this information. Here, this could indicate that the original owner was a well-known figure in Brazil and that the family preferred to erase the name to avoid excessive visibility.

The jewel of this collection is the page signed by Alberto Santos-Dumont, dated Rio de Janeiro, May 29, 1916, with the dedication: "To my future colleague". A central figure in the history of aviation and already internationally renowned for his achievements in Paris, Santos-Dumont appears here at a later stage, living in Brazil and still maintaining his aura as a pioneer. This signature gives the volume exceptional historical value, connecting the European artistic universe to scientific progress and the conquest of the skies.
