Dear Muhammad Ali,

I think you're the best heavyweight boxer alive. I was wondering if I could have your autograph, it would really be a great new piece for my collection. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter, I sent an envelope with a stamp and my address.

Muhammad Ali (1942 - 2016), born Cassius Clay, is considered the greatest boxer of all time and a legend of the sport. Known worldwide for his fighting style and his titles, he also strongly marked his time with committed political positions.

Ali won the Olympic gold medal in 1960 and became world heavyweight champion in 1964, 1974 and 1978 in historic fights against Joe Frazier, George Foreman and Leon Spinks. He retired when he was still champion.

In the 1960s, Muhammad Ali refused to fight in Vietnam and, for this reason, was banned from competing for three years. He later converted to Islam and changed his name, becoming increasingly involved in the fight against racism.

Muhammad Ali was elected "Sportsman of the Century" by the American magazine Sports Illustrated in 1999, and can be considered one of the greatest living personalities of the 20th century. Autograph documents signed by Ali are in increasing demand, even more so with some unusual details like here.
