I was 8 years old when a famous Czech opera star refused to give me an autograph because the piece of paper I was nervously holding in my hand was crumpled. I was devastated. Milos Forman.
Milos Forman (born 1932) is a great film director of Czech origin but American nationality. Two of his films, "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" and "Amadeus", are among the most awarded works in the history of cinema and are considered classics.
"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" starred Jack Nicholson in 1975, playing a crook who, after being arrested, pretends to be crazy in order to go to a psychiatric hospital and thus avoid doing a lot of hard labor in prison. The film won awards in the five main categories of the Oscars.
"Amadeus" is a fabulous retelling of the story of Mozart, who, considered a musical genius, ended up arousing a terrible envy in Salieri. The film won eight Oscars and awards all over the world.
A signature is the simplest - and laziest - way for a celebrity to please their fans. However, autographs can be more creative and interesting, for example with a drawing, a funny comment or a personal story like we have here.
