Brian, the Bible says to lay hands on the sick and they will recover (Mark 16). Just pray from the bottom of your heart for your mother. There are no special rules for praying. Charlie.
Charles Duke (born 1935) is one of twelve, and the youngest, of the men who walked on the moon in Apollo 16. It was the tenth mission with men on the moon, the fifth to land on the moon and the first to land on mountains. It was launched on April 16, 1972. It brought back to Earth 94.7 kg of rocks.
In this note, exceptional for its spirituality, Charles Duke tries to console a friend whose mother - very ill - is living the last moments of her life. These lines, quoting the Bible, were written by the youngest astronaut to set foot on the moon (in 1972). Proof that science and religion, faith, are not opposed.
