This is a short telegram from the city of Santos, announcing the death, in Guarujá, of the Brazilian aviator and inventor Alberto Santos Dumont. Days later, his body was transported to São Paulo, to the house of his brother-in-law, at Avenida Paulista, 105.

This text bears witness to the tragic event of Alberto Santos Dumont's death, an event that had international repercussions. This type of thank-you letter, sent to illustrious recipients, has never before been offered to collectors.
