This letter appears to deal with a practical matter, possibly related to the shipment of a consignment or item from Maranhão and its receipt in Rio de Janeiro. The text includes a request to verify receipt and provide information about the dispatch of the aforementioned "assembled" item. Furthermore, there is a reference to the shipment of the remaining necessary items by other workshops.
Although we do not have an exact date for this letter, possibly 1838 or 1839, the signature is that of Dom Pedro II as a child. The text was also written by him personally.
Letters entirely handwritten by Dom Pedro II during his childhood are the rarest, which makes this document especially valuable.
