This letter appears to be about a practical matter, possibly related to the sending of a shipment or item from Maranhão and its reception in Rio de Janeiro. The text includes a request to verify receipt and provide information about the dispatch of the aforementioned “montado”. Although we do not have an exact date for this letter, possibly 1838 or 1839, the signature is that of Dom Pedro II when he was still a child. The text was also written by him himself.
