A hug from your friend, Raul Seixas, 09/13/80

Raul Seixas is an icon of Brazilian music, known as the "Father of Brazilian Rock". His career was marked by irreverence and creativity, blending elements of international rock with Brazilian rhythms, creating a unique style that captivated generations. His lyrics addressed themes such as freedom, spirituality, social criticism, and philosophy, reflecting a rebellious and visionary spirit. Emblematic collaborations, such as with Paulo Coelho, resulted in timeless songs like "Maluco Beleza" and "Sociedade Alternativa". More than just a musician, Raul became a symbol of counterculture and authenticity in Brazil, influencing not only music but also the behavior and mindset of his fans.

The album "30 Anos de Rock" was released in 1985. This work is a reissue of the album "Os 24 Maiores Sucessos da Era do Rock", originally released in 1973 under the pseudonym "Rock Generation". The album features versions of rock 'n' roll classics from the 1950s and 1960s, performed by Raul Seixas. The album highlights the singer's versatility and his ability to pay homage to the roots of rock, a genre that profoundly influenced his career.

In 1980, Raul Seixas released the album "Abre-te Sésamo," his tenth studio album. This album marked his return to CBS Records, where he had previously worked as a music producer. The album featured notable tracks such as "Aluga-se" and "Rock das 'Aranha'," which, despite their success, faced censorship due to social criticism and content considered explicit. After the release, Raul faced personal and professional challenges, including health problems related to alcohol and drug abuse, resulting in a period without a record label contract. Despite these difficulties, he continued to perform and maintain his presence in the Brazilian music scene.

Due to his premature death in 1989, authentic autographs by Raul Seixas have become collector's items, being quite rare and highly valued in the music memorabilia market. Every fan can identify with this dedication: "A hug from your friend, Raul Seixas, 09/13/80," and still listen to his music.
